從 2022 年 4 月開始，我們加入了列治文明納老人中心 (Minoru Centre) 的設施使用證計劃。每個月的第二個星期四晚上 6:30 pm 到 8:30 pm，我們有專業人士講解健康主題，然後與所有患者和家屬進行圓桌分享。

Started from April 2022, we are part of the Minoru Centre's Seniors Facility Pass program. Please swipe your pass (annual $25 for seniors 55+ or spouse) at the front desk or pay a $4.5 drop-in fee when arriving for each session. 

We meet every month on the second Thursday evening from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. We have the health topics presented by the professionals and then have the roundtable sharing with all patients and families.

Prostate Cancer Supportive Care Program 前列腺癌支持護理計劃 (你可以要求中文翻譯服務)

The PCSC Program is a comprehensive survivorship program developed in 2013 at the Vancouver Prostate Centre for men with prostate cancer, their partners, and families from the time of initial diagnosis onwards. Men can self-refer to this program or be referred by their doctor (a doctor’s referral is required for the Sexual Health Service).

The PCSC Program is a clinical, educational, and research-based approach to care, addressing the challenges of decision-making and coping along the entire disease trajectory to serve both the patient and their partner’s physical and psychological needs.

在2013 年溫哥華前列腺中心開始PCSC計劃，是為前列腺癌患者、他們的伴侶和家庭，從確診時開始製定的一項綜合存活計劃。 男性可以自行參加該計劃或由他們的家庭醫生轉介（性健康服務必需醫生轉介）。

You and your partner are invited to join our monthly meeting, celebration and sharing of the 9^th anniversary on April 14, 2022, 6:30 – 8:30 pm.

The Prostate Cancer Support Richmond is one of the "Seniors Facility Pass" programs at Minoru Centre. Please arrive 15-minutes earlier to pay a $4+tax drop-in fee at the front desk. If you already have an annual pass of $23+tax is suitable for all following weekly/monthly programs.

In-person Support Group Meeting - Thursday, October 14, 2021 - POSTPONED 實體會議重開 - 推遲至2022年

As no registration was received on October 7, 2021, the following meeting was postponed. No more in-person and zoom meetings until March 2022, due to low participation in the last 20 months. To attend other support group meetings please check on the PCSCanada Event Calendar or review their recordings.

經過19個月的網上Zoom會議，列治文華人前列腺癌支援網絡計劃於 2021 年 10 月 14 日(星期四) 下午 6:30 至 8:30 返回 Minoru 老人中心實體聚會。 地址 7191 Granville Avenue, Richmond, BC, V6Y 1N9。這個面對面的會議有一些規則：

• 僅適用於設施使用證 (Facility Pass) 持有人（55 歲以上老年人或配偶為每年28元），所有凍結的2020年會員資格已從10月1日起重新激活。該證適用於下列的50多項活動。
• 如果沒有設施使用證 ，請提前15分鐘到達，在前台購買4.3元的入場費。
• 請全程佩戴口罩；不需要疫苗證明。
• 會議內禁止飲食。

This in-person meeting has some rules:

• For the Facility Pass holders only ($28/year for seniors 55+ or spouses), all frozen 2020 membership is already reactivated from October 1. The pass is good for over 50 activities (see table below).
• If no pass, please arrive 15 minutes earlier to pay the $4.3 drop-in fee at the front desk.
• Please wear a mask for the entire meeting; no proof of BC Vaccine is required.
• No eating/drinking is allowed in the meeting.
• Maximum 18 participants include the guest speaker and facilitators; please reply to email dleung2000@gmail.com for registration NOW (name and number of person, Facility Pass - yes or no).

During the COVID19, our support group connections were limited. Thanks to the Prostate Cancer Foundation of BC (PCFBC) was provided significant help to keep us connected with the Zoom meeting. Also, it expanded the network from BC to national; the division of Prostate Cancer Support Canada (PCSCanada) was formed to join us with all support groups in Canada.

Our pleasure is to have Ms Richelle Green, Support Services Manager of PCFBC, as our guest speaker at our first in-person in the new venue. She will share the support services with the prostate cancer patients and family. And introduce the three new nationwide support groups too.

September is Prostate Cancer Awareness Month   Laurence Klotz, MD, of Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto, one of the pioneers of active surveillance for low to intermediate-risk prostate cancer, will be speaking to two support groups. Klotz will be speaking at 7:30 p.m. ET Sept. 9 to  Canada’s new Active Surveillance Nationwide Support Group. His clinical research interests have been in the areas of active surveillance, image-guided therapy, molecular biomarkers, and androgen receptor-targeted therapy. He has led numerous randomized trials in prostate cancer.
