Health and Wellness: Living with Prostate Cancer (Free Download)

Prostate Cancer Foundation. Curing Together

Health and Wellness, Part 2A healthy diet may reduce the risk of developing prostate cancer and possibly prevent or delay prostate cancer progression.
Good nutrition also reduces the risk of developing other major chronic diseases, such as diabetes, obesity, hypertension and heart disease. It is estimated that one-third of cancer deaths in the United States can be attributed to adult diet and physical activity, including their role in obesity.
The University of California, San Francisco, has developed a new guide as a companion, to complement the diet and lifestyle recommendations found in Health and Wellness: Living with Prostate Cancer (and still available from PCF).
This new guide, Part 2, includes specific diet recommendations.
Scientific evidence suggests that differences in diet and other lifestyle behaviors, such as exercise and smoking, may account for much of the variability in the rates of major chronic diseases across countries, including many cancers.
Download the new guide here and then please share the link with support groups, friends and family: https://www.pcf.org/ucsf-pcf-diet-guide/ .
