British Columbia has over 20 Prostate Cancer Support Groups meet once a month. This Richmond group is found in 2013 and focused on providing help to Chinese-speaking men, but everyone is welcome. We speak Mandarin, Cantonese and English, meet on the second Thursday of every month from 7:00pm to 8:30pm at the Richmond Public Library (2/F Brighouse Main Branch, 7700 Minoru Gate, Richmond, BC V6Y 1R8). Please register online at The Richmond Public Library website (or call 604-231-6413 for registration). Join us for the professional presentation and talk to other men and family members who have been dealing with prostate cancer for weeks, months or even years.

If you want to chat with a survivor one on one, you may drop in our walking club. The Richmond Blue Walkers walk on every Tuesdays and Thursdays 10am-12pm, 5-10 km along the beautiful river dykes and parks in Richmond (Walk in the Richmond Shopping Centre during the raining days or cold seasons). Click here for the schedule or contact Daniel Leung at 604-836-6423 for the locations and meeting places.

Free 12-week exercise program for men with prostate cancer @ community centres 社區中心為前列腺癌男性提供的12週免費鍛煉計劃

「TrueNTH Lifestyle Management」的圖片搜尋結果A community-based exercise program designed for men with Prostate Cancer - TrueNTH Lifestyle Management, that is funded by Movember and supported by Prostate Cancer Canada.  This program is currently throughout Alberta and had been testing it recently in other parts of Canada, including Vancouver.

There are 2 x free 12-week exercise programs about to start in Vancouver community centres.  These programs are twice per week for an hour and include resistance and cardiovascular training.  The programs are delivered by university trained Kinesiologists and are currently being supported by our experienced team of cancer-specialist Exercise Physiologists.

To be eligible to participate, you need to have:
A prostate cancer diagnosis and be greater than 12 weeks post surgery.
Men on 'Active Surveillance' are encouraged to attend.
Men on hormone therapy may be able to participate (depending on their medical history).
